Why be a Shopify Marketing Agency?
It looks like Shopify will be rebranding to just ‘Shop.’ Why? So, they can own the term ‘shop.’ A mite ambitious but it is the number one turnkey solution for ecommerce.
In short Shopify is really good at what it does.
It is possible to have a store up and running in a week if not less. Everything you need is built in.
There’s an App for That
Shopify is endlessly adaptable. The Shopify marketplace is jam packed with apps that add functionality from delivery options to Instagram feeds and SEO.
Search Engine Optimisation
SEO Manager is one app you’re going to need. It’s a few dollars per month but is saves time and allows you to do all the nitty gritty stuff. We’ve found their support excellent.
Marketing with a Shopify Store
It’s not very different from any other platform if you get the basics right like the naming conventions of products eg keywords within your product names and URLs.
That’s round one of marketing with Shopify getting the foundations right for Search Engine Optimisation.
Successful businesses will know that you create a hub, that is your website plus your email list and Shopify has all manner of integrations. Since MailChimp and Shopify fell out over data exchanging the big player is Klavyio. Klavyio has endless possibilities by using automation and popups.
So, we would recommend using Shopify BUT you have to be aware that although relatively cheap (until you need to expand) and easy to use, you are tied into the platform (that’s their business, fair enough).
There are limitations until you get to Shopify Plus (currently $2,000 pm). The main one is that you can’t do anything in the basket such as adding conversion tools and messaging.

Why I Love Hertfordshire
Why do we make a big thing about Hertfordshire? Because we love being in this wonderful county. Don’t get me wrong there’s lots of lovely places in the UK but Hertfordshire is where I was born, Kings Langley and where I went to school, Berkhamsted. I’ve lived in Welwyn Garden City for a long time.
St Albans is just up the road and a place to browse for food and coffee. Watford is somewhere I spent a lot of time growing up, visiting the shopping centre and especially John Lewis. My mum used to treat me to a Knickerbocker Glory.
I’ve worked all over including Hemel Hempstead, Watford (again) and Stevenage. I go to a lot of networking groups. I especially like the vibe in Harpenden and Hertford.
My daughter goes to school in Hatfield and I do enjoy acting at The Barn Welwyn Garden City.
